Bellview Park

This week is spring break from our normal activities. So without our usual schedule, Jonah, Eli and I had some free time. We decided to spend our morning at Bellview Park. It is a really cool park in Englewood that has a train, petting zoo and a stream to play in. Both boys had a blast and with the exception of a baby pig trying to eat my pants, we had a fabulous time!

Watching a lamb get it's "hair cut."

So excited for the train ride!

Both boys were soaked by the time we left!

Jonah's first homework assignment

Jonah brought home a poster to complete and bring back to school. The "all about me" poster will be displayed in his classroom. It was a fun project to do together and we learned some new things about Jonah. I didn't know that his favorite food was Chinese! He goes back and forth between wanting to be a doctor or pilot when he grows up. Today it was a pilot but of course Dan and I are flexible about him choosing either profession. :)

Happy Father's Day

Dan's Father's Day celebration started on Friday with a root beer float party at the boys' school. Dan enjoyed his in a special soda holder made by Jonah.

Eli gave him this cute poem with his footprints on it:

Sunday was spent relaxing at home and the pool and of course lots of daddy time with his boys!

Happy Family Day Jonah!

Two years ago today, Dan and I stepped out of a court room in Russia as parents. The journey had been amazing and we couldn't believe we were finally parents to such a sweet boy. The last two years with Jonah have been amazing and we truly could not imagine our life now without him.

To celebrate this momentousness day, we had a little family party - pirate style. Here are some pictures of us enjoying the day together.

We love you Jonah and thank God for you every day!

Parker Days

After enjoying the recent warm weather, we were hit with a cold, rainy weekend. Unfortunately, it was the same weekend as Parker Days, our towns annual festival. There was a three hour window where it wasn't raining over the weekend and we took full advantage and joined the town's festivities. It was a good time regardless of the weather!

Our Visit to White Fence Farm

White Fence Farm is a well known family restaurant in the Denver area. Part of the "farm" is a petting zoo and play area for kids. A few weeks ago we ventured out and enjoyed their famous fried chicken and had a fun time with the farm animals.
