Castaic Mud Run
Jonah participated in the 1 mile Kids Fun Run as part of the Castaic Mud Run this year. After he completed the one mile run, he got back in line again and said he wanted to do it all over again! Next year, he wants to do the 3K instead of the Kid Run so it will be more challenging.
Eli and Gideon. Eli decided to sit this one out.
Getting ready to go up the big hill.

Field Trip to Amy's Farm
We took a field trip all the way to Ontario to visit a farm where we could milk cows. With the closure of Lombardi's Ranch this year, this was their chance to pick from a pumpkin patch as well. Farmer Amy was very informative. As a homeschool mom herself, she was excited to have our group. Jonah and Eli each milked the cow. Although parents had the option to give it a try as well, I took a pass.
AWANA T & T
Today was parent day at AWANA T & T (Truth and Training). Jonah has moved up to the big boys group of 3rd through 6th graders. So far, he is not a fan of the additional requirements for AWANA. He is committed to see this year through and we will see what happens for next year.
Jonah during game time. The strong athlete as always!

Ender brainstorm
This year, Jonah is learning how to organize a paragraph. This week, we were working on a paragraph about our favorite pet. Jonah of course, picked Ender. Below is his initial brainstorm while getting his paragraph ready to go.

Soup Plantation
One of the boys' favorite restaurants (besides McDonald's!) is Soup Plantation. My guess it has more to do with the ice cream bar than the salad bar.
