Snow Day

The boys had a blast at Legacy's Snow Day. It was a great way to end the first semester of their program there.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Jonah, Eli and I were expectantly up in Redding beginning a couple days after Halloween.  Eli returned home after a few days, but Jonah and I went back up again to care for my dad's leg for a couple more weeks.  While there, we had our share of "field trips" and enjoyed what Redding had to offer.

Lombardi Ranch

Since moving to Santa Clarita, it has become a tradition to go to Lombardi Ranch to pick a pumpkin (or two!) and have fun.  This year, we went as part of a field trip.

America's Teaching Zoo

We recently had a great field trip at America's Teaching Zoo,  It is an exotic animal training program at Moorpark College.  The boys enjoyed seeing the lion, emu, hyena, and boa constrictor.  But their favorite?  The Hissing Madagascar Cockroach!  They both were "lucky" enough to be chosen to hold them.

Basketball Time!

Both boys loved summer basketball season this year. Jonah was on the Bulls and Eli was on the Lakers.

Eli's Cubbie Graduation

This was Eli's last year as an AWANA Cubbie. He is sad to be leaving Cubbie Bear behind but is looking forward to being a Spark next year just like his big brother. Today Eli had a graduation ceremony to show his successful completion of his Cubbie book.

Puzzle Masters

When Jonah was three, he was known as the "Puzzle Master" at Children's Choice.  He has continued to enjoy puzzles on and off over the last few years.  Eli on the other hand, has not been into puzzles...until recently.  I pulled out a huge floor puzzle we have had for a few years and both of the boys enjoyed putting it together as a team.
