Our evening went a little something like this...
Tonight Dan and I planned a dinner and and a movie date. Before leaving to meet Dan I went to pick up our CSA share. I went inside to drop off the veggies before heading out when there was a knock on the door. It was a neighbor kid letting me know that my car had rolled out of my garage and across the street and crashed into our neighbors yard! Luckily no one was hurt and the damage was relatively inexpensive with only a few sections of the fence needing to be repaired. Overall, it was a pretty humiliating experience. Dan and I had just watched this re-run of Everybody Loves Raymond a few days before. It doesn't seem quite as funny now.

Move over Casanova
When I picked Jonah up from school yesterday he announced that Lexi was his girlfriend. When Dan and I asked him about her he just giggles and gets very shy.I didn't think we would be talking about girlfriends for a few years!

Camping Trip
We took a one night camping trip to Cherry Creek State Park. The park is a local reservoir about 15 miles from home in the middle of the city. The boys had fun swimming and playing in the sand. Eli stood in his pack and play for about an hour after he went to bed looking out the tent window and taking it all in.

Please hold
Our camera broke while I was on our California trip so no pictures for now. Hopefully we will buy a new one in the next few days before our camping trip this weekend!

Our new family hobby
Have you ever heard of letterboxing? I recently discovered it and our family is addicted!
Letterboxing is defined as: an outdoor hobby that combines elements of orienteering, art, and puzzle solving. Letterboxers hide small, weatherproof boxes in publicly-accessible places (like parks) and distribute clues to finding the box in printed catalogs, on one of several web sites, or by word of mouth. Individual letterboxes usually contain a notebook and a rubber stamp. Finders make an imprint of the letterbox's stamp, either on their personal notebook or on a postcard, and leave an impression of their personal stamp on the letterbox's "visitors' book" or "logbook" — as proof of having found the box and letting subsequent letterboxers see who have visited. Many letterboxers keep careful track of their "find count". (taken from Wikipedia)
We have been on several letterboxing adventures and it is something we all enjoy. Dan is the expert at finding the boxes. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and we are looking forward to collecting more stamps. Here are some pictures of us from our hunt for The Pollywog. (Dan found it of course.)

Our new set of wheels
Last month I purchased a Radio Flyer Wagon. I think it was my best mommy purchase yet! Both boys love being in it and it makes life so much easier being able to cart them around. Also, there is a storage unit and drink holders for us. We have been making good use of it and I am sure we will continue to do so in the months to come.
