There are many many options for baby food in Russia. When we were at the baby store there were aisles and aisles of baby food. Irina helped us to pick foods that would be similar to those the babies ate at the baby hospital. One lesson we learned from her was to not buy any baby food with a picture of a horse on it because it was pureed horse meat.
Eli has had a difficult time transitioning from the fresh food of the baby hospital to the jarred foods we have here. One thing is for certain - he loves formula! Many days he is only eating formula, oatmeal and maybe some jarred baby fruit. I told him the meat was not horse, but he is still not going for it.

That's interesting, I bought a bag of "stallion jerky" at the airport. Do you think it was horse meat?
